Optimization is a broad term that can mean different things depending on the context. In marketing, it’s used to refer to a process of refining your website or content until you’ve achieved the best possible results.

The process of optimization, in this sense, is a continual one, and it’s something you should be doing on an ongoing basis to continually improve and increase your visibility. Here are some strategies that will help you develop a more successful site and take advantage of the most effective channels for reaching your target audience:

Perform Keyword Research.

This should be done before you create any content; otherwise, it’s too late! The purpose of keyword research is to determine which keywords are most relevant for your site and which ones people search for in search engines.

Create Topic Clusters.

Once you know which keywords are relevant to your site, you can start creating clusters of related topics that help you rank better with those words or phrases in mind.

Develop Content Benchmarks.

This step involves determining how long your articles should be and what content performs best on your site based on previous data. For example, if you want to create an SEO article, it should be at least 800 words long because Google prefers longer articles on their search results page than shorter ones.

Format Your Content for Maximum Consumption

The content on your website should be structured perfectly for users to read and understand. Use short paragraphs and bulleted lists. Long paragraphs are hard to read, especially online. If you have more than one idea in a paragraph, use bullets or numbers to separate them, making each concept easier to digest. This also makes it easier for mobile users to scan through the text quickly and find what they’re looking for without having to scroll through an entire paragraph.

Use “People Also Ask” to Drive More Traffic

If you’re looking for more traffic, using “People Also Ask” can be a great way to do it. This feature appears in Google’s search results and allows users to ask questions about the topic, and it provides an excellent opportunity to answer those questions in the text and drive more traffic to your site.

Optimize the Content Body

Optimize the body of your content by using relevant keywords, synonyms, or phrases for each article. For example, if an article is about how to lose weight fast, use these keywords in the title, and throughout the article, so Google knows what it’s about when someone searches for those terms. You can also use keywords in the H2 tags or even bolded or italicized text for extra emphasis on important information.

Incorporate Internal and External Linking

Incorporate internal linking in your blog post to connect it with other posts on your website. It is also essential to link to other websites that are relevant to yours, and this will make your website stronger by increasing its authority and credibility.

Add Calls to Action to Drive Conversions

If you want people to take action on your website or blog, you must strategically add calls-to-action (CTAs) throughout your content. CTA’s are buttons or links encouraging visitors to take a specific action, like signing up for an email list or purchasing something online.


It’s worth reiterating once again that more than answers are needed independently. You need to answer your audience’s questions with an in-depth, thorough content. Crafting content that keeps readers engaged also means writing at a level of depth and style that you wouldn’t find in a typical FAQ page. That’s why you need to go above and beyond for your content if you want it to help your SEO.
