5 Examples of Successful Social Media Marketing Campaigns

Social media has become a staple in the marketing world. It’s inexpensive and can reach an audience of millions, which makes it a great tool for brands to use when trying to generate buzz and increase their popularity.

Social media marketing is also super simple. You need to know how to set up a page on your social networks, share content with your followers, and respond in real-time.

This guide will show you five successful social media marketing campaigns that are easy for anyone, even those without any knowledge about digital marketing, to follow.

Oreo daily twist campaign

One of the most successful social media campaigns ever, Oreo’s “Do you want a cookie?” The campaign was a huge hit. The brand gained more than 1 million likes on Facebook and 25,000 followers on Twitter.

Oreo also saw success with its Instagram account. The brand received more than 100,000 followers within 24 hours after launching an official account and posting the first photo from its ad campaign.

McDonald’s Monopoly win fall campaign

McDonald’s Monopoly is a marketing campaign that was launched in 1987. The game is played on collectible Monopoly pieces distributed in boxes of McNuggets and Happy Meals.

The idea behind this campaign was to promote the McDonald’s brand through entertainment that would appeal specifically to children and give them a chance to win something they could hold onto as an adult collector item or decoration.

Starbucks’ White Cup Contest

Starbucks’ White Cup Contest was a social media marketing campaign from April 19 to May 10, 2017. The campaign was created to promote the release of the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino.

The company offered fans the opportunity to win a trip for two to attend their annual shareholders’ meeting with CEO Howard Schultz in Seattle and receive two unicorn-shaped cups, one white and one pink (the color of their signature drink).

Fans could also enter by sharing pictures on Twitter using #StarbucksWhiteCupContest or hashtags such as #unicorncupcontest or #unicorngrace.

3 Musketeer’s #AllForOne

3 Musketeers launched a campaign that encouraged people to share their love. The company uses a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The campaign was successful because it encouraged people to share their love with friends and family. One study found that this type of campaign produced higher engagement rates than other marketing campaigns (such as TV ads).

Coca-Cola Share a Coke

The Coca-Cola Share a Coke campaign was one of the most successful social media marketing campaigns in history. It took place between 2002 and 2003 and was targeted at college students interested in participating in the campaign.

The campaign involved young people making videos sharing their love of Coca-Cola with friends.

The results were incredible: more than 200 million views on YouTube alone. And that number doesn’t even include other platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, which makes sense given how many people use these services today compared to then.

Social media marketing can be a great way to get your business noticed and generate leads. With the right tools and strategies, you can build an effective social media campaign to help your business succeed in the modern marketing world.
